Machhindra Club thrashes Friends Club 3-0

KATHMANDU: Machhindra Club defeated Friends Club 3-0 in the third phase of the match today under the ongoing Martyr’s Memorial A-Division League at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu.

With this defeat, Machhindra Club has topped the competition with six points so far.

In the previous two matches, the team defeated Brigade Boys Club 2-0 and played a 1-1 draw against Chyasal Youth Club.

Machhindra Club made a strong start with a goal by Peter Segun in the 29th minute helping the team take the 1-0 lead.

Segun used a header to score the goal. Likewise, Adelaja contributed another goal in the 51st minute giving the team more confidence to be on track to a victory.

He hit the goal from a pass from Captain Biraj Maharjan.

A decisive goal was scored in the 85th minute by Rejin, leading the team to a 3-0 win.

Bishal Rai of Machhindra Club was declared man-of-the-match for the match.
