Over 20 thousand vehicles fined for violating traffic rules

DANG: The District Traffic Police Office, Dang has fined over 20 thousand vehicles for breaching traffic rules in the first five months of the current fiscal in Dang district.

The traffic office collected a revenue of Rs 15.57 million from the action.

Motorcyclists make up the largest section of violators whose number stood at 7,660 followed by 3,677 trucks; 2,735 buses; 2,615 jeeps; 1,927 tractors, and 1,686 three-wheelers, according to Office Chief Prem Prasad Regmi.

They were penalized for drunk-driving, overtaking, not wearing a seat belt, violation of lane discipline, keeping passengers on the hood, among others.
