Locals fear aircraft crash as smoke billows above Batase Lek

KATHMANDU: A thick smoke has been seen billowing above the jungle located  between Sukaura of Makwanpurgadhi Rural Municipality and Bakaiya Rural Municipality-12.

Locals have suspected that an aircraft must have crashed at Batase Lek.

“A thick smoke is seen billowing above the jungle of Batase Lek. An aircraft is suspected to have been crashed,” said Laxman Ghimire of Bakaiya Rural Municipality-2.

According to SP Mukesh Singh of Makwanpur District Police Office, a squad of police has left for the incident site from Chaughada. It takes around two hours to each the incident site.
