KATHMANDU: India’s celebrated playback singer Asha Bhosle is arriving here on Wednesday at the invitation of Sadhana Kala Kendra, Putalisadak.

Bhosle is scheduled to sing around four songs composed by musician Ranjit Gazmer, said Kendra’s founding director Milan Moktan.

“Nepal’s 35 artists will accompany Bhosle on the stage. Bhosle’s visit to Nepal will help the promotion of Visit Nepal Year, 2020,” he said.

Bhosle, 80, is scheduled to visit Nepal’s religious places and tourist destinations like Lumbini, Pokhara and Muktinath.

Earlier, India’s noted singers, Anuradha Paudwal, Sanjeevani, Deepa Narayan Jha, Sadhana Sargam and Indrajeet Mijar visited Nepal at the invitation of the Kendra.

Bhosle has sung many Nepali hits like ‘Yo Ho Mero Pran Vanda Pyaro Maitighar’, ‘Ma Pyar Bechidinchhu’, ‘Gairikhetko Shirai Hanyo’, ‘Mohani Lagla Hai’ among others.
