India walks out of SAG men’s football



KATHMANDU: India will not be competing under the men’s football category of the 13th South Asian Games (SAG).

Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) confirmed that India has refused to play at the time when the draw for the competition has been already made public.

Earlier, Pakistan had already declined to play the competition. With India and Pakistan not participating, the competition will be held on a round-robin basis.

As per the draw, Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan were placed in Group ‘A’ and India, the Maldives and Sri Lanka were pooled in Group ‘B’.
