Three including hotelier die of ‘electrocution’ in Dhanusha

JANAKPUR: Three people have died apparently due to electrocution to death in a hotel in Dhanusha district.

The deceased are hotelier Shiva Kumar Mahato of Purbeli Staff-Line Hotel based at Portaha in Ganeshman Charnath Municipality-7, his wife and a hotel staff, said DSP Rameshwor Karki of District Police Office, Dhanusha.

“Shiva Kumar’s mother opened the hotel when the door did not open until late in the morning. She saw three bodies lying on the floor as she opened the floor,” police quoted Shiva Kumar’s mother as saying.

All the three bodies were lying on the floor near a refrigerator. Police have suspected them to have died probably of electrocution.

The investigation into the case is underway, said police. The bodies have been taken to Janakpur Zonal Hospital for postmortem.
