Democratic panel makes clean sweep in NFEEA polls



KATHMANDU: The democratic panel has made a clean sweep in the elections to the Nepal Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs’ Association (NFEEA) held on Tuesday.

Bishnu Prasad Gaire from the democratic panel defeated his closest contender Saroj Kumar Pokharel from the progressive panel by 48 votes to become the chairman of the NFEEA.

Gaire secured 330 votes while his rival Pokharel has obtained 282 votes.  The democratic panel has won the entire panel in the 27th general meeting held yesterday. A total of 621 members associated with the NFEEA had cast their votes.

Likewise, Kamal Tamang of Himarab Overseas Pvt. Pvt. has been elected as the first vice-chairman by securing 381 votes. Kamal Dev Malla of Manpower Link Pvt. Ltd. secured 332 votes to become the second vice-chairman while Kishor Kumar KC of SRK Nepal Pvt. Ltd. has been elected as the third vice-chairman with 360 votes.

Similarly, Sujit Shrestha of Human Resource Pvt. Ltd. has been elected general secretary with 388 votes. His closest rival Ram Chandra Giri obtained 168 votes.

Meghnath Bhurtel of Nilkamal Human Resource Pvt. Ltd. has been elected as a secretary with 333 votes while Indira Gurung of CST Season Pvt. Ltd. has been elected as treasurer with 367 votes.

Those elected as members include Karna Raj Katuwal, Dinesh Kumar Raya, Surendra Aryal, Harka Bahadur Limbu, Bijaya Lama, Babulal Magar, Keshab Raj Neupane, Chhabilal Bhattarai and Laxman Paudel.
