TMC leader shot dead in India’s W Bengal



KOLKATA: A leader of Trinamool Congress (TMC) has been shot dead by bike-borne assailants in the Indian state of West Bengal’s Paschim Burdwan district, Indian media reports have said.

Police said TMC leader Muhammad Khalid Khan was shot dead on Saturday night adding that they have detained one person for questioning.

According to Khan’s brother, the leader was coming home when three bike-borne men opened fire at him. (Agencies)
