KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Thursday arrested two policemen with Rs 18,000 in bribe.

Acting on a tip-off, the anti-graft body deployed from Tangal caught red-handed Sub Inspector duo  Ramesh Bahadur Pandey and Raju Swarnakar  of Metropolitan Police Circle, Gaushala, with the bribe.

They had taken the bribe promising the defendant that they would help him settle his public office case at the earliest.

The CIAA said they are investigating the case after taking Pandey and Swarnakar under control.
