Death toll from Gulmi landslides climbs to 13

LAMJUNG:  The death toll from landslides in Satyawati Rural Municipality has reached 13 after police recovered four more bodies from the incident site. Landslides had occurred at Thulo Lumpek and Limgha.

The recently recovered bodies include Tara BK,7, toddler Sanju BK of Limgha, Maya BK and 34, her 14-year-old son Babi BK of Thulo Lumpek.

Nine bodies had been recovered from the incident site on Tuesday.

The deceased included Nirmala BK, Pamfa BK, Anjali BK, Himansu BK, Chhali BK, Siwali BK of Limgha and Til Kumari Taamu Magar, her son Darshan Taramu Magar and Durga Bahadur Sinjali.

Over 600 families have been displaced due to landslides.
