Lalitpur metropolis unveils Rs 5.179 billion budget



KATHMANDU: The Lalitpur Metropolitan City on Tuesday unveiled a fiscal budget of Rs 5.179 billion. Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan presented the budget for the fiscal year 2019-20 at the city assembly of the metropolitan held today.

The metropolitan city has allocated Rs 2.736 billion budget for infrastructure development. Of the total budget, Rs 1.125 billion has been allocated as recurrent expenditure.

Likewise, Rs 753.4 million has been allocated for economic development and Rs 22.5 million for organizational development and good governance.

Similarly, the metropolis has allocated Rs 168.4 million for social development and Rs 165.5 million for environment and disaster management.
