Delhi elects only one woman to Lok Sabha



NEW DELHI: Delhi has elected only one woman yet again in the Lok Sabha.

Meenakshi Lekhi of the Bharatiya Janata Party has got elected out of  the 16 women candidates who contested from seven Lok Sabha constituencies of Delhi.

There were 164 candidates in total. It has been seven times that only one woman candidate was elected, out of the total 16 general elections held in Delhi. (Agencies)
