China’s 600km/h maglev train prototype unveils

BEIJING: Photos of the prototype for China’s latest high-speed magnetic-levitation (maglev) train project have been released.

Maglev train project has just rolled off the assembly line in the eastern Chinese city of Qingdao.

Maglev trains use magnetic repulsion both to levitate the train up from the ground for reducing friction, and for propelling it forward. Only a few countries – China, South Korea and Japan operate maglev trains at present.
