BJP nine seats short of two thirds majority



KATHMANDU: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made a landslide victory with 303 seats,  which is nine seats short of two thirds majority in the general elections. National Democracy Alliance (NDA) led by BJP has secured 352 seats, according to the election results.

With the clear majority  in the Lok Sabha, Narendra Modi is sure to become the Prime Minister of India for the second term.

According to the Election Commission of India, BJP has secured 22 seats more than  the seats secured in the general elections in 2-14.

BJP has emerged victorious owing with the slogan of Hindu Nationalism, India media reports said.
