11 killed, 2 injured in China elevator collapse

SHIJIAZHUANG: Eleven workers were killed and two others were seriously injured after an elevator collapsed at a construction site in north China’s Hebei Province, media report stated.

The collapse occurred around 8 a.m. in Taocheng District of Hengshui city, according to the city government.

The injured are being treated at a local hospital. An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
