Seven gamblers held from New Road



KATHMANDU: Police arrested seven gamblers from New Road in the capital on Saturday night. Acting on a tip-off that the gambling was underway near New Road, a squad of police arrested them from a house based at Ranjana Street, along with Rs 650,000 in cash.

The arrested are Pradip Shrestha, Ramesh Thapa, Rabin Tamang, Sarun Tamang and Sushil Shrestha.

Similarly, those arrested include Chandra Lama of Kavre and Kumar KC of Okhaldhunga, said Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu.

According tothe police, Chandra Lama was using his room as a gambling den for the last few days.
