Headless body found at New Baneshwar junction

KATHMANDU: A headless body of a man has been found at the junction of New Baneshwar on early Sunday.

The accident took place at around 6:15 am today.

According to Koteshwar Police Station, the body of the the deceased was found lying covered in blood with its brain scattered.  A shoe is visible on a foot of the deceased while the other shoe is lying few meters away from the place where the body was lying.

“A headless body has been found at the junction of New Baneshwar. It was covered in blood with its brain scattered. We cannot say immediately whether the accident took place due to road accident or some other reasons. We are investigating the case,” an on-duty traffic police told Khabarhub.

Earlier, a biker died after two motorcycles heading towards the same direction collided each other near UN Park on Saturday. The deceased was identified as 23-year-old Satyam Bhattarai.

The accident took place when a motorcycle, Ba 77 Pa 6793, heading to UN Park collided with another motorcycle, Ba 91 Pa 1301, in the course of overtaking, said Anamol Pandey of Metropolitan Police Sector, Mangal Bazaar.
