Five killed in Nawalparasi car-truck collision



KATHMANDU: Five people have died in a car-truck collision at Kawasoti in Nawalparasi district at the wee hours on Monday night.

According to police inspector Rajendra Adhikari, the car, Ba 21 Cha 6409, heading to west from east collided head-on with a truck, Lu 1 Kha 8532,  coming from the opposite direction at Kharkatta jungle.

The critically injured passengers, who were taken to Bharatpur hospital, breathed their last while undergoing treatment, said police.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
