Ward secretary faces music for raping woman

OKHALDHUNGA: A case has been filed against a 45-year-old ward secretary on the charge of raping a woman.

The rapist has been identified as Chet Bahadur Katwal, ward secretary of Sunsari Rural Municipality-7 of the district.

Police Inspector Rajiv Shrestha of District Police Office, Okhaldhunga said they are investigating Katwal after a rape case has been filed against him by 23-year-old woman. Katwal has been absconding since the incident.

Similarly, police have arrested 18-year-old Kumar Tamang of Molung Rural Municipality-6, for raping a seven year-old girl.
