BITADI: A person died in Baitadi after falling off a moving jeep. The deceased has been identified as 40-yer-old Raj Koli of Pancheswor Rural Municipality-6, confirmed Netra Mani Giri, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police Office, Baitadi.
Koli was said to have fallen off the jeep, Ma 1 Ja 119, en route to Dehimandu from Giregada on Tuesday evening. Critically injured Koli died on the way to the District Hospital. Jeep driver Janak Joshi fled the scene after Koli died on the way to hospital.
However, police took the jeep driver under control. Investigation into the incident is underway, said the District Police Office, Baitadi. The dead body has been kept at District Hospital for postmortem.
