KATHMANDU: Tremors were felt twice in the capital on early Wednesday. The first tremor was felt at 6:29 am while the second struck at 6:40 am.

Kathmanduites have been panicked following the recurrence of tremors in a gap of 11 minutes just before a day the mega earthquake rocked Nepal four years ago.

According to Chintan Timsina, a seismologist at the National Seismological Center, Lainchaur, the first tremor 5.2 on the Richter scale was felt at 6:29 which was followed by another jolt with 4.3 on the Richter scale at 6:40 am.

The epicenter of both the tremors was Naubise, Dhading.

A mega earthquake with 7.8 on the Richter scale had devastated Nepal with its epicenter in Barpak, Gorkha on April 25, 2015. Facebook users have described it as a recollection of the mega earthquake. The deadly quake had occurred at 11.56 am on Saturday.
