Tax official faces music over taking bribe

KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Friday filed a graft case against a tax official on the charge of taking bribe in Panchthar district.

According to a report in Gorkhapatra, the anti-graft body filed a case against Revenue Officer Man Prasad BK claiming that he embezzled of Rs 18,267,779 in the last nine years.

BK has amassed Rs 12766945 through his salary, land sale, and other income sources, investigation shows.
