39 bodies found in truck container in London



LONDON: A total of 39 bodies were found stuffed in a truck container near London on Wednesday.

According to the British police, the truck believed to have come from Bulgaria was found in the container at Waterglade Industrial Park in Grays, about 20 miles from central London Holyhead in Wales.

Police have arrested the truck driver, a 25-year-old from Northern Ireland, on suspicion of murder.

Chief Superintendent Andrew Mariner said that the police are in the process of identifying the victims though it might take quite a long time.

All 39 victims were pronounced dead at the scene. (Agencies)
