Five die in Algeria rap concert stampede



ALGERIA: At least five people died in a stampede at a rap concert at Algiers in Algeria, international media reports said.

Thousands enthusiasts had gathered at a stadium to see Abderraouf Derradji, popular rapper, also known as Soolking, performing when a stampede broke out at one of the entrances of the stadium.

Around two dozen people have been injured in the stampede and taken to hospitals, authorities have said. (Agencies)
