6 LeT terrorists have entered Tamil Nadu: Intel

TAMIL NADU: Authorities have issued an alert at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu after six Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) men have reportedly entered Tamil Nadu through Sri Lanka, an intelligence report has said.

According to the alert, the group of six terrorists has one Pakistan national and five Sri Lankan Tamils.

Security has been beefed up in Chennai after the alert, Indian media reports have said.

Police have launched operations that include checking of lodges, vehicles, railway stations, among others places.

An intelligence report had earlier suggested that Pakistan was planning to mobilize some Afghan terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. (Agencies)
