Two cadres of Chand outfit arrested

TANAHU: Police has arrested two local leaders of Communist Party of Nepal, Netra Bikram Chand group in Tanahu district on Tuesday.

Those arrested are the group’s district member Netra Bahadur Thapa and the Group affiliated youth organization’s district secretary Bishnu Kumar Shrestha. Thapa was arrested from Ganeshman Chok at Byas Municipality-2 while Shrestha was taken under control from Malpot Line at Byas municipality-3, the District Police Office Tanahu said.

Police have confiscated the party literature including pamphlets from the possession of the two arrestees. They were arrested based on a special tip-off and further investigations are underway, Deputy Superintendent Lilaraj Lamichhane of the District Police Office Tanahu stated.
