Over 300 govt employees under CIAA scanner

KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has started an investigation over 300 government employees for amassing property by misusing the public office.

The anti-graft body began the investigation by asking them to fill up property details.

According to a source, CIAA started the investigation on them based on their lavish lifestyle, undisclosed property, and inputs from intelligence, Rajdhani Daily reported.

Sources said that they are facing a hard time for investigation as employees at customs, revenue and accounts sectors were found sending illegally earned money to different countries through illegal channels.
