KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted partial to general cloudy sky in most parts of the country due to influences of westerly wind today. There is also possibility of light to moderate rainfall along with lightning towards the afternoon.
Senior meteorologist of the Division, Min Kumar Aryal said that the weather has been affected in western part due to influence of westerly wind while central and hilly areas due to influence of local wind. “This is a pre-monsoon period and this kind of weather is expected’, he added.
According to the Division, partial to general cloudy sky has been predicted at most of the parts of the country while there is possibility of light rainfall along with thunderstorm at some places of hilly area today night. Similarly, hilly areas of the country would remain partial cloudy and there is possibility of rainfall along with lightning in the afternoon on Friday.
Likewise, the Division has predicted fully cloudy weather in eastern parts of the country on Saturday as well as possibility of partial to light rainfall at hilly parts of mid-western area. There is possibility of rainfall along with thunderstorm in eastern part of the country towards the afternoon. Today’s minimum temperature of Kathmandu Valley is 15 degree Celsius and maximum is 32.4 degree Celsius, according to the Division.
