Nepal bags gold medal in Int’l Karate Competition

PATNA: Nepal made a winning start with a gold medal in the International Open Karate and Kick Boxing competition ongoing in the Bihar State of India on Tuesday.

At the event being held at Pataliputra Sports Complex at Patna, Nepal’s Rupa Rana won gold medal in the inaugural game of Kata. India’s Anjali Kumari and Anita Kumari won silver and bronze respectively.

Altogether 221 sportsperson from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh and host India are taking part in the competition.
