Sunny Deol joins BJP

NEW DELHI: Actor Sunny Deol has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday in Delhi. The actor joined the BJP in presence of Union ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Piyush Goyal.

The BJP will reportedly give a ticket to Sunny Deol to contest the Lok Sabha election 2019. There have been reports that the actor will be fielded from Gurdaspur parliamentary constituency in Punjab. The announcement, however, has not been made yet.

After joining the BJP, Sunny Deol said, “PM Modi has done a lot for the country and I wish that he remains the prime minister for another five years. Our youth needs people like Modiji.”

“The way my father [veteran actor Dharmendra] worked with and supported Atal ji, I am here today to work with and support Modi ji. My work will do the talking,” Sunny Deol said. (Agencies)
