Council to coordinate between three tiers of government

KATHMANDU: The government has put forth a proposal to establish national coordination council to coordinate between federal, province and local governments.

The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has registered a bill in the parliament to this effect, a report in Kantipur daily said.

Even though one year has gone by after the country adopted a federal set-up, problems have surfaced due to lack of coordination between the three governments.

The government has, hence, suggested a proposal to establish a national coordination council in line with Article 235 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal.
