Chitwan Rhinos beats Biratnagar Titans by 18 runs in PPL



POKHARA: Chitwan Rhinos defeated Biratnagar Titans by 18 runs in the ongoing Pokhara Premier League (PPL) on Sunday.

While chasing down the 147-run target set by Chitwan, Biratnagar managed to get only 128 runs on the board losing all wickets in the stipulated 19 overs.

With the third consecutive win, Chitwan has garnered six points and has been placed top in the points tally. Biratnagar is fourth with two points from three matches.

Lokesh Bam top-scored for Biratnagar at 62 runs off 36 balls hitting five fours and five sixes as Puneet Mehra made 24 runs.

For Chitwan, Bhuvan Karki and Karan KC grabbed three wickets each. Rohan Mustafa grabbed two wickets in his kitty.

Earlier, put to bat after losing the toss, Chitwan notched-up 146 runs losing four wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Aarif Sheikh top-scored at 39 runs as Paras Khadka and Babar Hayat contributed 35 and 25 runs respectively.

Jitendra Mukhiya, Kishore Mahato, Puneet Mehra and Muhammad Zaid Alam grabbed one wicket each.
