CIAA files case against govt official over bribery case



KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against Nayab Subba (non-gazetted first class) on the charge of receiving bribe.

The anti-graft body filed a case against Nayab Subba Ramesh Kumar Khadka, a staffer of District Court West Rukum, at Special Court Kathmandu, seeking a fine of Rs 15,000 along with three months’ jail term.

Khadka had allegedly asked for Rs 60,000 from a service recipient promising him a document related to the cancellation of land registration at the land revenue office.

The anti-graft body had caught Khadka red-handed with Rs 15,000 in bribe.
