U-23 Nepali football team leaving for Qatar

KATHMANDU: A U- 23 Nepali national football team is leaving home for Doha of Qatar to play an international friendly match.

The team, presently preparing for the 13th South Asian Games that Nepal is hosting, will meet Myanmar on coming October 25 in Doha for the friendly match. The 32-member team comprising 24 players is scheduled to fly to Qatar at 9:40 pm today.

It was given a farewell amidst a program at the National Sports Council today. NSC member secretary Ramesh Silwal and All Nepal Football Association officiating president Pankaj  Nembang wished for the success of the team.

Ananta Tamang, Anjan Bista, Sujal Shrestha, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Tej Tamang, Abhishek Rijal, Sunil Bal, Hemant Thapa Magar, Tshering Gurung, Nitin Thapa, Prezen Tamang and Arpan Karki among others are the players in the team.
