Minister Gyawali briefs House on Nepal-India Joint Commission meeting

KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has briefed the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting on the issues discussed during the fifth meeting of Nepal-India Joint Commission.

Minister Gyawali shared that the issues of energy, water resources, trans-border crime control, connectivity and border security, among others were discussed.

While asking for special time from the Speaker, Minister Gyawali said that Janakpur-Jayanagar Railways, food and quality control, post-quake reconstruction projects, postal highway and bilateral issues were seriously discussed in the meeting.

The 35-member Nepali delegation was headed by Minister Gyawali while his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar had led the Indian delegation. They had co-chaired the meeting.
