Man from Ivory Coast arrested with 1.6 kg cocaine in Nepal



KATHMANDU: A foreigner has been arrested with 1.6 kilograms cocaine from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at 5 pm Wednesday.

A special team of Narcotics Control Bureau arrested a citizen from Ivory Coast Marcel Guehi holding passport number 18 AT 95514 who had arrived in Nepal through a flight of Qatar Airways from Doha.

The drugs were hidden in suitcases he was carrying. It is reported that Guli was taking the drugs to India through Nepal.

The consignment fetches Rs 48 million in the international market.
