RAW Chief Goel in Nepal



KATHMANDU: Samant Goel, chief of Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), India’s foreign intelligence agency, has arrived on a five-day visit to Nepal.

RAW Chief Goel, leading a five-member delegation, arrived in Nepal on Sunday, a highly placed source of security agency of Nepal told Khabarhub. The team is staying at Hyatt Regency, Bouddha, Kathmandu.

This is Goel’s first Nepal visit after his appointment as the head of RAW, last month. He was working as the special secretary of RAW, previously. It is learned that officials of the political bureau are also in the team.

Goel will hold high-level political meetings during his stay in Nepal, sources said.

RAW head’s Nepal visit is viewed significantly at a time when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming Nepal visit has been the talk of the town.
