Police return lost belongings to German tourist

KATHMANDU: Tourist police have handed the lost belongings to the owner. Tourist police returned the lost passport and cash to Germany national Muhal Piyus today.

The tourist had lost his bag containing passport and cash on the way to New Bus Park, Gongabu from Thamel in the capital this morning.

Acting on a complaint from the tourist, the police had searched for the lost belongings. Police seized these belongings from a taxi having the registration number (Ba 1 Ja 8476).

Police also arrested taxi driver Hari Shrestha, 28, of Ramechhap and seized Rs 100,000, cellphone and a passport.
