MUMBAI: India’s legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, who is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital in Mumbai, is doing ‘much better’, her family has said.
The family said they cannot comment further.
Mangeshkar, 90, was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital last week after she complained of breathing difficulty.
Mangeshkar’s niece Rachana Shah said Lata Mangeshkar is doing much better now.
“We can’t comment beyond this,” she said while urging the media to respect their privacy.
Mangeshkar has sung more than 30,000 songs across languages in her seven-decade long career, Indian media reports have said. (Agencies)
