Jeep-hit claims one in Kailali

KAILALI: A pedestrian has died after being hit by  a jeep at Teghari of Godawari Municipality-2 in the district.

The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Devram Tamata of Teghari of Godawari Municipality-2.

A Mahendra jeep, Se 1 Ja 739, heading to Dadeldhura from Jhalari of Kanchanpur hit Tamata. Critically injured Tamata died while undergoing treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital, said District Police Office, Kailali.

Police said they have taken the jeep and its driver under control.
