CPN-Revolutionary (Maoist) to boycott by-elections



KATHMANDU: The Mohan Baidya-led CPN-Revolutionary (Maoist) has decided to boycott the by-elections scheduled for November 30.

A meeting of the party and Desbhakta Janaganatantrik Morcha, an alliance of the fringe parties, decided to boycott the polls, according to leader CP Gajurel.

The party had taken part in the local elections forming the alliance. It, however, decided to boycott the federal, provincial and local by-elections this time.

Gajurel said that they were seeking for an alternative of the constitution, government and system.
