Double digit economic growth within five years: Minister Banskota



KAVREPALANCHOWK: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Banskota has claimed that there would be double digit economic growth rate within five years in the country.

Addressing the two-day district-level workshop on Saturday, he said, “The economic growth rate which was 7.1 per cent before few weeks has now reached 7.5 per cent. The government has set a target to make 8.5 per cent economic growth rate in coming year.”

He further said that the government has adopted a policy to respect the laborers, the main index to increase economic growth rate.
