PAC forms sub-committee to study NEA dues



KATHMANDU: The parliamentary Public Account Committee (PAC) today formed a sub-committee on issues concerning the collection of dues to be raised from various industries for the use of trunk line and dedicated services of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).

The sub-panel headed by Minendra Rijal has been entrusted to prepare a report on the issue and submit it to the committee within a month.

The members in the sub-committee include Tejulal Chaudhary, Surya Pathak, Pradeep Yadav, and Parbati Bishankhe. According to committee secretary Dr Rojnath Pandey, the NEA’s dues stand a total of Rs nine billion.

The committee has started discussions with NEA office bearers and the concerned industrialists on the issue.
