Child dies after being run over by jeep



GALKOT: A seven-year-old child has died after being run over by a jeep being driven by his father in Kathekhola rural municipality-1, Manangdanda.

The incident took place on Saturday night when the father was parking his jeep after coming home from work.

Sashi Lal Thapa was parking his jeep, Ga. 1 Ja. 7181, when he accidently ran over his son Salin Thapa. Salin died on the spot, according to District Police Office spokesperson DSP Jhapindra Prasad Bhattarai.

Sashi Lal had just arrived home from Baglung bazaar after completing his work carrying passengers and goods for the day.

However, the unfortunate incident took place as he was about to be home with his family after parking his jeep near his home.

Further investigation over the incident is underway, police said.
