Rs 25.24 bln proposed for agriculture sector

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock Development has submitted a budget proposal worth Rs 25.24 billion for the fiscal year 2076/7 7 at the Ministry of Finance.

It would be 1.68 percent of the total budget if the government brought the budget of Rs 1.5 trillion.

This budget is only for the agriculture ministry of the federal level, said Minister for Agriculture Chandrapani Khanal.

Rs 40.14 billion had been allocated for the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives in the current fiscal 2018/2019.
