Butwal beats Pokhara by 8 wickets in PPL

POKHARA: Butwal Blasters has defeated Pokhara Paltan by  eight wickets in the ongoing Twenty20 cricket match under the ongoing Pokhara Premier League (PPL) played at Pokhara Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Chasing the 122-run target set by Pokhara Paltan, Butwal Blasters reached the target in  14 overs losing only two wickets.

Aftabuddin Ahmed top-scored with 75 runs including 12 fours and 2 sixes off 46 balls, S Rana made 19 runs including two fours off 23 balls while B Sharki contributed 16 runs off 10 balls.

In reply, Rashid Khan, PG Dake grabbed one wicket each of Butwal Basters.

Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss, Pokhara made 121 runs losing five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

R Inder Singh made highest 54 not-out runs including two fours and two sixes off 42 balls, PG Dake hit 20 runs off 20 balls while RK Paudel contributed 19 runs off 18 balls.

In reply, H Tonk grabbed two wickets while N Thapa, S Singh and LS Bhandari claimed one wicket each.
