Govt warns of action against ‘Pathao’ and ‘Tootle’

KATHMANDU: The government has warned of action against Pathao and Tootle if these ride-sharing apps continued to use private bikes to ferry passengers.

The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) on Wednesday said that since Pathao and Tootle have been violating the law, it would have to take action against them.

The spokesperson at DoTM, Titha Raj Khanal said that anyone flouting the law would be prosecuted.

The DoTM has said that any vehicles registered for private use will not be allowed to transfer passengers.

This is, however, not the first time that the DoTM has issued a warning to Pathao and Tootle.
