President Bhandari leaves for Japan

MYANMAR: President Bidya Devi Bhandari left here for Japan this morning, upon completion of a five-day State visit of Myanmar at the friendly invitation of the President of Myanmar U Win Myint.

President Bhandari was seen off at the Yangon International Airport by Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko, Chief Minister of Yangon region government U Phyo Mig Thein and Nepali Ambassador to Myanmar Bhim Krishna Udas, among others.

The Nepali delegation led by the President is flying via Bangkok, Thailand on a Thai Airways flight to reach Japan later tonight.  President Bhandari and the Nepali delegation will attend the coronation ceremony of Japanese Emperor Naruhito and return home on October 23.
