Nepal taking on Tajikistan in AFC U-16 Championship Qualifiers

KATHMANDU: Nepal is meeting Tajikistan for its third match under the AFC U- 16 Championship Qualifier underway in Jordon.

The match will be held at Zarqa City-based Prince Mohammed International Ground at 10:45 pm tonight as per the Nepali time.

Tajikistan is viewed as Nepal’s strong competitor. Nepal was defeated to host by 7-0 in the opening match. But it played the second match 1-1 draw with Kuwait. Tajikistan has so far collected six points by winning the two previous two matches it played.

A total of 48 countries are taking part in the Championship and they have been divided into 11 groups. Nepal along with host, Kuwait, Tajikistan, and Sri Lanka are in the group ‘A’.
