64 families displaced due to flood in Banke

BANKE: Around 64 families have been displaced due to incessant rainfall-triggered inundation in Khajura rural municipality of Banke district.

A total of two hundred fifty-three persons of 64 families have been displaced as their houses were inundated following heavy rainfall.

Ek Maya BK, vice-chairperson of Khajura said they have made arrangements for tents and food for the displaced ones.

These families have been rendered homeless and compelled to live on the roadside after their houses became waterlogged, according to local Maya Ram Pasi.

Likewise, the Nepal National Basic School at Khajura has also been inundated caused by the swollen Mankhola River.
